Hackers were able to exploit a software vulnerability in fintech Revolut and steal US$20 million, a fanfiction site Archive of Our Own was the victim of a targeted distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attack, Microsoft was the victim of a “China-based threat actor with espionage objectives”, US-based HCA Healthcare suffered a data breach impacting 11 million patients and Estee Lauder suffered a cyber attack which saw a malicious actor steal data from the company’s systems. In addition, attendees of the Roblox Developer Conference between 2017-2021 were also subjected to a data leak.
